GAYL VEINOTTE is a former English teacher. She has been a storyteller on stage, on screen, and on the printed page. Her portrayal of Rose in ROSE by Martin Sherman earned her the accolade “ROSE is a one-woman show whose words fill its stage with a skill that would shame even the most behemoth of casts.” (FFWD) Her journalistic and corporate works have been published in local, provincial and national publications, and her published editing credits include fiction, creative non-fiction and memoir. Her own published creative work includes poetry, short stories, one play, and now Burial Rites, the saga of a family torn apart by fear, self-loathing, and their desperate efforts to thwart their own genetic heritage.
