At Bay Press has partnered with Perrun Studios, a Winnipeg based independent film studio, to produce a vibrant new Author/Artist Documentary Series entitled ‘Scene Between the Lines’. This docu-series merges the literary arts with the visual and theatrical arts. This first season in the docu-series features five acclaimed creators from Manitoba in five separate episodes.
Season Two will kick off in the Fall of 2023 with a new film featuring indigenous author Lucy Hamphill. Lucy’s highly acclaimed “Overhead Series” of books comes to completion with the release of the final installment in the series with book 3 entitled Trees (Release date Sept. 30th 2022).
At Bay Press will present and host a public screening and launch for this first docu-series. This public screening of the theatrical cut will take place at Cinematheque in the Exchange District in Winnipeg and will kick off the second season of the documentary series with this very special feature length episode. This special episode in the series will then be shared in online events via Zoom and YouTube premiere for free.
